Michele has been teaching cycle class and doing lots of behind the scenes volunteer work with Bloom for about 7 months. We are so lucky to have her! Here’s a bit more about Michele.
1. Why do you volunteer with Bloom?
I volunteer for Bloom because I love helping people achieve their fitness goals and feel good about themselves. I believe that all ABILITIES matter. I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they hit a new milestone in the program
2. When you’re not volunteering with
Bloom, what is your day job?
My day job is a full time parent to my two kids ages 14 and 11.
3. What is your favorite song on your teaching playlist?
My favorite song is Bruno Mars – Just the Way You Are! I believe the title says it all. They truly are amazing.
4. What is the most memorable moment you’ve had while teaching?
The most memorable moments: there are two-
When I first started the program and I was given my first Bloom shirt after several visits to a location. When the athletes came into the room and saw that I had a Bloom Fitness shirt on, they gave me hugs. I felt like I belonged.
Second – I watched an athlete sit on the bike for the first time and barely able to peddle. Then one day while I was teaching, she stood up and was smiling. She improved and she knew it!
5. What is your biggest wish for the athletes of Bloom?
My biggest wish for the Bloom Athletes is that they always feel like they belong and they never stop believing they can accomplish anything – I would love to see them run/walk/ dance their way through a 5k one day!
